What to bring


  • Yourself.

      • Yoga mats, blocks and blankets are provided but you can bring your own if you prefer.
        • What to remember
          Classes are very informal and their main aim is to relax your body and mind but there are a few things that you should try to remember:

          • Wear lose and comfortable clothing. Yoga asanas (poses) are practised in barefoot, for Yoga nidra bring warm socks.

          • Drink plenty of water during the day before class and after class.
          (All venues have water available for drinking but you should try not to drink anything during class itself)

          • Try not to eat for at least 2 -3 hours before class.
          (If you must you can have a very light snack one hour before class or a warm drink half an hour before class)

          • Switch off your mobile phone before entering class.

          • Don’t force yourself into any pose. Everyone’s body is different, we are all unique. As a child I injured my left arm very badly and because there was no hospital where I lived it was not put into a cast so did not mend properly. This means that I cannot do some of the very advanced yoga poses. This does not stop me practising and teaching yoga. Yoga is not just physical exercise, it is a way of life. Listen to your body. Yoga is not a competition. If you are in pain something is wrong.

          • Keep an open mind and enjoy the class.
